What Arrives
The Tale
After Emma says, “You never finish anything,” Mirae sees her room differently: the painting looks unfinished, the book abandoned, and the half-built bridge like proof.
Then Nimara, a wonderfully changeable cloud, helps her see that some things need finishing while others belong to play and discovery — and neither kind tells her who she is.
The 19-page story is followed by The Together Part — gentle questions to explore together, a parent tip, a first journal page, a blessing card for your child, and a wisdom card for you.
A Quiet Truth to Carry
“One thing about you is never all of you. And that is the right way to use never.”
— Nimara
A few unfinished things do not add up to never. Finishing is a skill children are still learning — not a measure of laziness, goodness, or ability.
THE FIRST FEW LINES
On a day like any other, when the world feels both big and small, this story begins…
Mirae woke up feeling sparkly and bright — like sunshine dancing on water.
She bounced out of bed, pulled on her clothes, and hurried to her art table. All week, she had been thinking about a painting: a yellow house beneath a wide blue sky, with a path curling through the grass and disappearing somewhere beyond the edge of the paper.
She painted the house first. Then the grass. She had just dipped her brush into blue when she noticed her dragon book beside the bed.
Perhaps, she thought, she would read one chapter while the yellow paint dried.
Three pages later, the dragon had reached a broken stone bridge. Mirae looked at the wooden blocks beneath her table. She could build that bridge. Not an ordinary bridge either — one with a tower at each end and a secret room underneath.
Soon the book lay open on the rug, the painting waited on the table, and a wooden bridge stretched halfway from Mirae’s bed to the door.
Then Emma’s voice returned from yesterday.
